To those in the Shorey family who mourn Bill.

Bill was a very fine man with whom to work. I spent many of the later years of his working career as the leader of his Division where Bill was an exemplary model for the younger staff, a generous and friendly person who all respected and admired.

His family can be very proud of him and his contributions to Canadian engineering and technology

I met Bill the day I started work at AECL in 1957, we have been friends and fishing buddy's since then. Our families camped together and we attended weddings in our families. My condolences to Bob and Wayne and their families, he was a great friend and gentleman, we will miss his wit and humour.

This had to be the most loving, full of beans person we have ever know.
What a loss to our town, our church and all our hearts. We were all truly inspired by the depth of love that Bill and Myrtle showed to each other; they were like two giddy kids.

So this legacy (and more) is left behind with us and will not soon be forgotten.

To Bill's family, our love, our prayers; feel God's strength; this has been a particularly difficult time for you all; try to find some quiet time for yourselves knowing that we are there to help in any way we can. Hugs and love!

My sincere condolences to the Shorey family.

I had the privilege of working with Bill many years ago in the Electronics Branch. Bill was a kind, considerate, happy person, who was blessed with a wonderful sense of humour.

Deep River has lost a true gentleman with the passing of Bill Shorey.

Dear Myrtle and Family, So sorry to hear that your loving husband and father has passed away. Bill & Myrtle were one of our first customers when we were developing Morning Mist Campground. Bill was a great help to Tony building the boat docks. I understand they solved many of the world problems while they were hammering. Let the many happy memories you have of Bill bring you comfort at this time.

Dear Shorey Family: Please accept my sincere apologies for your recent loss. This is a hard time, I know. That is why I wanted to share something encouraging with you from the Bible. At Acts 24:15 we have the promise of a grand opportunity to see our loved ones again because our heavenly Father promises that there will be a resurrection of the dead. He also tells us that until that time, he is going to guard our hearts and minds because he is the God of peace. I hope that you utilize the avenue of prayer for continued comfort in the days and years to come. Again, I am sorry for your loss.

As sorry as we are to see Bill leave us, he surely had a long, full life. He was always such a fun guy to be with, especially when he & Graham celebrated their birthdays together.

Rest in Peace, Bill as we continue the good times we had together.

Myrtle, Bob, Wayne and family,

Bill touched many lives with his kindness, great humour and love of life. I remember him as a boy growing up in Deep River, and then our chats and trading jokes in the Valumart parking lot for a number of years up to the passing of my parents, Jim and Ruth.

May the Lord continue to grace you with comfort and joy in the sweet memories you have of such a fine man.

Sincerely, Dave Stewart

I am so sorry for your loss. I adored Mr. Shorey when he would come into the drugstore. We always had a fantasic chat and I came to think of him like a grandpa. He will be missed by all of us at the drugstore.
