Bob had such a great influence on my R&D career at AECL, as he did on so many others. His hard work, dedication and leadership were so vital in those early days, providing a role model for the rest of us to emulate. Always willing to listen, he guided you through the problem solving process to come up with your own solutions, then celebrated with you when you achieved success. My heartfelt appreciation for his guidance over the years, and profound sense of loss in his passing. Our sincere sympathy to you Lucille and your family at this time. Know that his legacy lives on in so may people he helped along the way.

Dear Lucille and Roy;
I have such fond memories of Bob, dating as far back as my silly teen-age years. He never did get gray hair but I probably caused him some concerns with my antics which he normally heard of after the fact.
I remember the numerous Christmases we passed together and Bob was always there filming the event. We laughed at him then but were so happy later that we could look back on those joyous occasions.
Even as he grew more frail, he still enjoyed his glass of Sherry at the end of the day and his snacks.
Bob's passing is a great loss for all of us. May he now rest in peace after a life well-lived with his loving family

I spent two very interesting years working for Bob at CRNL in the 1960's and really appreciated his technical expertise and very useful comments on my work.
He was my first AECL supervisor. I ended up spending 32 years with Candu Design and then two years back at CRNL in the 1980s. Then went on to work at Bruce and Darlington Stations for a further 8 years. I never forgot the good start I got working with Bob. He will not be forgotten.
