Nelson, we were so sad to see that Connie passed away. She was an inspiration in her effort to keep the Wylie clean of trash and even more after her stroke in her determination to keep active. We saw her just last week walking up the Wylie Road. We’re so sorry for your loss.

Dear Nelson and the entire Whyte family from our days on Ridge Road--Donna, Everett, Merven, Carrol, Earl, and, in cherished memory, Gwen:

I am so saddened to hear of Connie's death. I have enduring memories of her from our two-room schoolhouse days, from work on your family farm, and of course from babysitting. In my mind and heart, Connie will remain the sweetest and most gentle-souled individual I have known. Quiet. Observant. Kind-hearted. But not one to shirk from her share of chores on the farm or refrain from joining in schoolyard play.

As with all of you, I treasure Connie as a "once and always friend". The very best kind. undiminished by time, geography or circumstance.

My love today is with your entire family.

Phil Nicholson, from Ridge Road all those years ago.

Nelson, we are so sorry to hear of Connie's passing. Connie was one of the first people to welcome us when we moved to the Bronson. Many fond memories of her tending to her flowers and leading the charge to keep our neighbourhood clean. We are going to miss her dearly.
