I remember this dear lady as a patient at our dental office in Pembroke. I also remember her dear husband Bill. They spoke of their family with such love and admiration. Beautiful couple! Karen Thrasher, Dental hygienist.

I was really sorry to read of Mrs Beale's death. She was a very sweet and friendly lady always ready to smile and laugh. Many, many years ago when our eldest daughter was just 2 months old I was at the library and Mrs. Beale was volunteering. A couple of weeks later, I was back and she presented us with a truly lovely bonnet and mittens which she had knitted herself. A truly precious gift and I've never forgotten her kindness.

Our condolences on the loss of a wonderful lady. She was the backbone of the library for so many years while Helen was working there, and, of course, such a great friend when Kate and Meg were besties. Deepest sympathy from our family to yours.

To Mike and Kate Beale: I have had a profound attachment to your mother, from a distance and for the many years since my good friend Jane died – and I have thought of them both so, so often. I visit Jane on McAnulty Road each time I visit Deep River, and will now also look for Mrs. Beale as well. I will always think of them….

Mr. and Mrs. Beale were our neighbours growing up. They always gave the best Halloween candy and measured our heights on their wall. Ettie will be missed. Condolences to the family. - Danny, Tim, and Dixie Nicks.
