Mike and I car pooled together and worked in NRU together as well. I only knew him for 18 months but we chatted a lot about our families.  Karen he loved you like no other and was proud of all the hurdles that you both overcome together. To both his sons he talked quite a bit about both of you and his chest swelled with pride with every word he said. Please stay strong and if you need anything I'm right down the street.  To Mike buddy I'll miss all the stories and laughs we shared. Miss ya

My deepest condolences to The Vander Horn Family for your loss. Working with Michael was always a pleasurable experience with his quick wit and infectious laughter the time spent on any task seemed to pass quickly. Though I only had the pleasure of working with Mike for three years my memories of him will always be positive and bright. We often shared Sudoku puzzles for break times. He was better at the harder puzzles but it helped me up my game as well. It's sure that where ever he is the place is brighter and happier than before he arrived. Peace.
