Dear Doreen - I am sorry to hear of John's passing, and feel terrible for not having visited him these past few years. I do hope you are able to manage. Of all those I have worked for and with in the past, it was John who inspired me the most to approach science with enthusiasm and professionalism. I will always remember the wonderful talks we had, not always about work. It has been 15 years since I retired and I have thought about you both over that time, although I have not visited. Please accept both Connie and my most sincere condolences. Bob.

Dear Doreen, I did not know John well, but witnessed the love you shared through the time you spent together on a daily basis. It is with heartfelt sympathy that I extend condolences at this time of farewells. Sincerely, Joan

My condolences to you and your families. I remember having interesting talks with John while visiting my Mom in the hospital. He always seemed to have a physics book in hand which doesn't surprise me as he was a brilliant man. Your devotion to John as displayed during your daily visits was heart warming. Cherish the Memories. Take Care, Mark Jarbo

My deepest sympathy for your loss. May you find comfort in loving memories and hope in the promises found in the scriptures...”And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation/Apocalypse 21:4)

I extend my sympathy to you and pray that you will be comforted by our Father of all comforts. John knew his Father well and served Him faithfully in his humble, warm, cheery and thoughtful ways.
Our family was grateful for the happy association with yourself and John over the years, on this side of heaven.
The LORD bless you and keep you: The LORD make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you: The LORD lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26 RSV)
