So very sorry to hear of Larry's passing.  I just read his obituary, and found out that we had missed attending his memorial.  Larry was my boss many years ago at the Rolphton Detachment.  Actually had to teach me how to make coffee, and I am sure he shook his head with my brutal secretarial skills.  He was always smiling, pleasant and took the time to ask how my little family was doing.  He understood well, that I was a new mom.  He also understood how we felt, losing our son, just over 6 yrs. ago. Something that has brought me comfort, I will share, hoping that it helps your family as well.  "God who placed me here, shall do what He pleases with me hereafter, and He knows best what to do".

I am sorry to hear about your loss this Easter weekend; there really isn't any words to say beside my family has your family in our thoughts and prayers.
Sadly I know first hand that grandparents are blessings we don't usually get to keep our entire lives. But we do get to keep their legacies alive with the way we live our lives. Your grandfather has built a great legacy for your family....and your three beautiful children got the chance to know this special man in your life and that is priceless and something that you five should treasure more and more each day.
My Condolences Once Again: Tanner family

To: Nancy & Family,

So sorry to hear about Larry. It’s been so long Nancy, but he was so kind and generous to me and the other OPP Officers who worked for him. And, he was not hesitant to take you aside and have a good chat when he needed to. I will always remember Larry for his fairness and understanding. Most respectfully,

Dear Nancy and family,
We are so deeply saddened to hear of Larry's passing.
I had the pleasure of working my very first job, straight out of high school, with Larry at the Rolphton OPP station.  I truly admired him as my boss but also as a loving husband and father.  He left a very deep and positive impression on me as I moved forward in my life.
I am grateful that we got in a few visits over the years to catch up.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you now and in the days to come.
With deepest sympathy,
Janet and Dan

Gone but not forgotten
God Bless Norm/Penny Fobear

My deepest sympathy to Nancy and family. Lawrence leaves behind many good friends and fellow officers who respected and thought highly of him.  And I know one Tweed friend who will truly miss him but will think of him often.  But find comfort knowing his Heavenly Father has him home now with Him.  Take care.   Sharon VanMeer

I too was a member of the OPP in the next detachment north in Mattawa, and had the pleasure of working with Larry on many investigations ,we played hockey against one another in both Mattawa and Deep River, it didn't matter who won we enjoyed each others company as team mates after each game.Larry was a gentleman in every sense of the word he was a credit to the uniform he wore, he was respected by all. I will miss my friend.

Todd, Rose and Family,
"They say there is a reason, they say that time will heal; but neither time nor reason, will change the way we feel. For no one knows the heartache that lies beyond our smiles; no one knows how many times, we have broken down and cried. We want to tell you something, so there won't be any doubt - you're so wonderful to think of, but so hard to be without."

Keeping you close in thought.  Please accept my sincerest condolences. May the memories of happy times spent together comfort you during this difficult time.
