This is a man I am proud to have known. He was my Boss, co-worker and mostly my friend. I am sadden by the sudden loss, but happy since he was doing the things he loved most. Weekend in Mont Tremblant, living at home in his house where he was grateful "no bombs were being dropped." He loved his life, his family and cherished anytime he had with those he cared about. My condolences to Clare and his kids. He was proud of all of your accomplishments. He spoke of you all often and adored his grandchildren. Sending my love and thinking of you all during this time. God Bless xoxo

Dr. Park (speedy) was our family physician for many years.  He surely enjoyed the moose meat Dad would give him yearly after the hunt.  I'll bet he's cracking jokes where he resides now.  Condolences to the family and friends.

Dr Park and I met over 52 years ago. All these years and still friends. Sparky and I hanged out often and always enjoyed our Wednesday luncheon at the Long Term Care. Boy, did we try to outjoke one another! Just a couple a weeks ago we went to the Legion for a superb concert! Elvis, Elton John ect.. we rocked that one. After, he insisted on going up to Chalk River to get a jumbo hot dog! He loved life and had a kind word for everyone. He truly cared about his patients, friends and of course his family. He was so proud of their accomplishments. As a patient, we always got to talking and I would then crack jokes with the people waiting to see him. I asked for compensation for that but he shot that down pretty quickly. Whenever we met I would say:” How you doing Sparky?” and he would always say:” I’m living the dream”. He told me  “ Jim, there here a spot for you in heaven” and I told him:” See you there then buddy”. I am deeply sadden by his lost but I will try to honor his memory and keep on smiling. R.I.P my friend.

Dr Park was my doctor and friend for over 47 years...he listened to me and got me through so much..he was always there for me..he wouldn’t retire until he knew his patients were taken care of but no one could take care of us like he could..
He used to say..remember..nothing will start until I get there so don’t stress about it..
I still have your Parks Law card you gave me many years ago..our last chat at Canadian tire was so much fun..
Rest In Peace doc..

He was truly, an amazing Dr., and human being. So genuine, caring and yes, always good for a laugh. May he rest in peace and I send my condolences to his family

I have never had the opportunity to meet the man, doctor, father but as per the testimonies here I believe it has given me an insight into who he was & what he represented to his family & friends . My father passed away 10 years ago now & I still see his face fleetingly in a crowd so Melanie, do that double-take every once in awhile & smile as you remember the man he was . xox

I first met Dr Park in March of 1969, Didn't like the "ole" man much because the first thing he did was smack my ass and make me cry. We saw each other occasionally off and on for the next 45 years or so until he retired. I liked him much more...... Had the pleasure of his company on a recent local flight that he seemed to enjoy. So did I. I had grown rather fond of the Doc.
He kept reciting different laws he had made and his thoughts on life are something I began to listen to and admire. I will surly miss his take on life and his half wit jokes......."Gary, nothing happens till you get there" " The harder you push me, the slower I go" " He has a B.A. a P.H.D. and a C.A. , But what he needs is a J.O.B." God Speed Dr Park and thank you for all you have given to me.

We met Don in 1969 when we first moved to Deep River.  As a physician we were always impressed with his excellent diagnostic skills and ability to get us to the right specialist.  We will always remember Don running out of his office with his white coat tail flying; and when he would take off that white coat to keep our little one from being traumatized.  Even after he retired we depended on him for his wise counsel.  Our condolences go out to his family who were so fortunate to have such a great man as their father, husband and grandpa.

Whenever we had an appointment with Don, he always would have a story or joke to lift up our spirits.  Now his spirit has been lifted up!  We will always remember PARK'S LAW- nothing will happen until you get there.  God speed, Don.  Rest in peace, caring doctor!!!  As neighbours we will miss his hearty laugh.  In his retirement years, he would reply to the question, how are you Don? with-" I need a new hip, new knees , new brain but other than that, I am just wonderful!"

Our sincere condolences to the Park family, particularly Donald (and Peggy), for your loss.
I first met Don over 20 years ago when he rented me a condo at Tremblant.
I since had the pleasure to know Don and meet many of his long-time friends (‘The Old Farts’ as he called them). No weekend at Tremblant was complete without visiting Don at his 2156 ‘man cave’ to talk politics (he was a non-discriminatory critic), and enjoy a few laughs and drinks.
Marie and I will fondly remember Don’s big heart, joie de vie, and infectious laugh.  Thank you Don for your friendship and generosity; we will miss you.

Saddened to hear of Don's passing. We will never forget his endless supply and delivery of jokes, particularly George Washington and the "chelly" tree. Bill will never forget their trip to the UK in the mid 80's along with long time friend Jim Evraire. What a delight that was with Don the life and soul of the party wherever we went. Even when doing some kitchen repairs for an elderly B & B landlady in Scotland.
His joy of life will certainly be missed.

My Uncle Don was always the warm, approachable, welcoming and fun-loving visitor. Despite the distances that separated us, he always made the effort to visit and connect with family. I remember my first airplane trip alone from Regina to Ottawa to visit Expo 67, all arranged by Uncle Don.  It was exciting stuff for a 12 year old girl. His visits out west were always occasions for good times, good food and much laughter.  Discussions ranged from serious to the frivolous.  Those wonderful, warm memories will be with me, my family and others forever.  Our sincere condolences to all of Uncle Don's family and to those he touched.

Don's humour always ended with a good punch line. We first met in Deep River where I was introduced to Sparky by Austin O'Brien at the K/O Lodge. Being the chef there I could tell by the questions he was definitely into food. Later at a back yard BBQ, Sparky's expressions had turned to that of a 10 year old that just heard his first real swear word. He had this key chain that rapidly blurted out expletive exclamations. The group of friends that all knew him saw the big kid he really was with this new toy. For the last 30 plus years I have kept in touch by this awesome fellow on his receiving line of the many Emails that he felt worthy of sharing. I remember him once telling me with a look of assurance that Insanity is hereditary- you get it from your kids. Dr. Gasman snorted his beverage through his nose and the whole table erupted in laughter. Great memories from a good man. My Condolences to the Family.
