Alexander James Wegner

At the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday, January 31, 2025, after a long battle with cancer, Alex Wegner of Deep River at the age of 63, passed into the arms of his loving saviour. Predeceased by his brother Danny, his father Samuel (1994), and his mother Helen (2009). Beloved husband of Sherry Wegner (nee Robinson) for 31 years. Loving father of Jordan, Justin and Kirsten Wegner. Brother of Diana, Linda, Mike, Adele, Julie, Phil, and Rhonda. Uncle to Anthony, Joe, Amanda, Rebecca, Layla, and great-niece Sofia. Alex will also be remembered by his many friends and former colleagues. A Celebration of Life will be held at Greenwood Gospel Chapel, 949 Greenwood Avenue, East York, ON, M4J 4C5 on Saturday, February 22 at 10:30 am.  **For this celebration of life, we'd like to encourage people to wear colours that reflect Alex's vibrant personality. Please feel free to choose clothing other than black.

 In memory of Alex, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
