Peacefully at home on February 1, 2020 with family close by, Allan (Al) Bancroft, age 88.  Cherished partner of Louise Wachsmann; predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan Jordan. Proud and loving father of Anne (Peter Chou), Toronto, Tim (Karen), Smithers, B.C., Rob (Dorian Cox), Toronto, Hugh (Maeve), Clonakilty, Ireland, Caitlin (Tom Toner), Toronto and step-son Jeff (Jennifer McCarthy, Vancouver, B.C.). Survived by his devoted sister Jean Trembath (Ed & family), Ottawa, and his beloved grandchildren Nathan, Keelan, Evan, Joshua, Ruadh, Rielle, Emma, Odhran and Nolan. Visitation will be held at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Tuesday February 4th from 2:00-4:00 p.m.  Funeral service to take place in the Deep River Community Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Deep River & District Hospital Foundation or North Renfrew Long-Term Care would be appreciated.
