Anne Seddon Obituary

Anne Seddon

Anne passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on February 5th, 2023, just 17 days short of her 86th birthday.

She is survived by her husband Bill Seddon, whom were married for 63 years, son Kenneth Seddon, (predeceased by son Philip Seddon), loving granddaughter Stephanie Seddon, husband Tyler Langfield and great granddaughters; Sophia and Bella Langfield of Chelsea, QC.

Born February 22, 1937 in Radcliffe, England.  Met husband Bill at their place of work in 1953 and were married in 1959 before leaving for Edinburgh where she supported Bill as he pursued his studies for a PhD.

She became a full time mum when they moved to Long Island, USA and welcomed their first son Kenneth in 1963 and subsequently Philip in 1965 in Leeds, England.

Emigrated to Canada and Deep River in 1966.  Subsequently in 1992 moved along with Bill to Pinawa, Manitoba, in 1994 to Washington, DC, and in 1995 to Las Vegas before returning to Deep River in 2004 when Bill retired.

In her earlier days she enjoyed playing tennis and was an active member of the Deep River Players performing in a variety of performances at Hill House and the Childs Auditorium.  Also very much enjoyed social bridge with her former friends.

In her later years she very much enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders outside her bedroom window.  She saw over 50 species with among her favorites, indigo bunting, cardinals, hummingbirds, solitary vireo and the ever present chickadees, nuthatches and woodpeckers.  She was regularly visited by two pileated wood peckers who she named Peter and Piper, along with their female offspring Anne. Not the same joy could be said for the pesky squirrels which frustrated her to no end.

A private celebration of life will take place on Bill and Anne’s 64th wedding anniversary on August 15th with close family.

She will be sorely missed.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
