Basil Bernard Rousseau

At Country Haven Retirement Home, Beachburg on Friday, December 6, 2024. Basil Rousseau formerly of Deep River at the age of 85 years passed peacefully. Beloved husband of the late Nancy Rousseau (nee Thompson). Loving father of Leah Broome and her husband John of Deep River and Bradley Rousseau and his wife Jana of Chalk River. Cherished Poppa of Jackson and Kaci Broome and Rylee and Bria Rousseau. Also survived by a sister Joanie Benoit of Stittsville, ON and predeceased by a brother Bud Rousseau and a sister Evie Gauvreau. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Linda Parsons (Eric) of Winnipeg, MN, Kathy Cochrane (Norm) of Lower Sackville, NS and a brother-law Paul Thompson of Muskoka, ON. He shared a special relationship with many nieces and nephews. Respecting Basil’s wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In memory of Basil, donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
