Boyd Gordon Tennant

Boyd Gordon Tennant of Chalk River, Ontario at the age of 88 (89 if counting by dad's way), years old, passed away on Friday November 7th, 2025 at St Peter's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario.

Boyd is predeceased by his beloved siblings, Tom (Elaine) Tennant, Marion (Al) Becker, and Jack (Betty) Tennant. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Mary (Earl) Reckzin and, Beverly (Dave) Stringer, and will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Boyd is now reunited with his late wife Gail, and will be dearly missed by his much-loved children, Late Boyd Jr. (Jennifer), Late Cheryl, Mike (Leanne), Elizabeth (David), and Shawn. Boyd was also blessed with six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Boyd spent his working years at Canadian Pacific Railway and then transitioned to Atomic Energy Canadian Limited. He worked there from January 30th, 1965 until his retirement on January 30th, 1992. In 1977, Boyd built his house on 9 Peter Street in Chalk River with the help of family, friends and his children. Dad was a man of many talents.

Respecting Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Saturday, June 13 from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment of cremated remains will be in the Forest View Cemetery, Chalk River. 
In memory of Boyd, donations made to the Renfrew County EMS, would be greatly appreciated by his family.
