It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our brother Brian Valliquette at the Bowmanville Hospital on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the age of 67. Beloved son of the late Wayne and Zita Valliquette (nee Tait). Survived by his siblings Patricia, Diane and Michael, his nephews Paul and George, and his brother in- law Fred Godsmark. Predeceased by his sister Catherine Godsmark, his brother Robert and his cherished niece Rachel Godsmark. Brian a long time resident of Newcastle, Ont. where he built his life and made lasting friendships. Many of which were formed during his years of employment at OPG (Ontario Power Generation). Brian will be forever remembered as a true outdoorsman. Planning his adventures whether it was 4 wheeling, ski-dooing, hunting or fishing trips, or just spending time at "The Camp" in Stonecliffe. Respecting Brian's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. Interment will be in the Deep River Community Cemetery. Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so to the Deep River and District Health or a charity of your choice.
