Catherine Ruth McCaw

With gratitude for a life well lived and peacefully ended, we announce the passing of Ruth McCaw (nee Haley) formerly of Deep River, at the age of 101 years at the Promenade Retirement Residence, Orleans, Ontario on Saturday, July 6, 2024. 

Beloved wife of the late Donald Dool McCaw. Loving mother to Ann Walsh of Ottawa, and the late Catherine McCreary (late Robert) of Barrie, Ontario. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer McCreary-Kidd (Mike), Julie McCreary (Matt), Patrick Walsh (Anne) and Emily Walsh (Braden), and great-grandmother of Katie, Marcus, Gabriel, Haley, Alice and Loren. Also survived by sister Margaret Fenderson (late Dave) of Portland, Maine and predeceased by sister Marion Lorimer (late Arthur) of Brockville, Ontario. Ruth will also be missed by her nieces and nephews. 

As per Ruth’s wishes, a private family gathering will take place in lieu of a formal funeral service. Interment of cremated remains will be in the Deep River Community Cemetery at a later date.
