Daintree Margaret Wright
Suddenly, at home in Deep River in the early hours on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Daintree Wright (nee Grozelle) at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife for 60 years of Ken Wright. Loving mother of Louise McLaughlin and her husband Steve of Canmore, Alberta. Devoted and proud grandmother of Terrilyn and Brandon McLaughlin, both of Calgary. Dear sister of Barbara Goodine (the late Arnold) of Mississauga, Lois (Mitzi) Bridge of Sarnia and Ross Grozelle and his wife Debbie of Burlington. Predeceased by a sister Betty Corbelli and 2 brothers, Roy (Sonny) and Leo Grozelle. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Daintree was a master joke teller and loved to laugh. She was at her happiest when in the company of family and friends. Daintree enjoyed working at Snider’s Pharmacy for many years and enjoyed getting together with the “Snider girls” after her retirement. She spent many years bowling and looked forward to spending each summer at the Lawn Bowling Club with her friends. Daintree was a woman of strong faith, always thinking of others before herself and was loved by so many. Her laughter, smile and caring nature will be truly missed.
Respecting Daintree’s wishes, cremation will take place. A mass in the presence of ashes will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River on Friday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. In memoriam donations to the Deep River and District Hospital Foundation or the North Renfrew Long Term Care Centre, Deep River would be gratefully appreciated.
