Darcia Raye Madore (Sanderson)

At home with her service dog and best friend Ruby following a courageous battle against dementia.  She is predeceased by granddaughter Mya Purdy. Beloved mother of Greg William Madore and Amy Margaret Madore both of Dartmouth NS. Loving daughter of Margaret Ruby Sanderson of Winnipeg MB.  Dear sister of Robert Theodore Sanderson (Kathy) (Winnipeg MB), Randall Patrick Sanderson (Ottawa ON), Donald Brock Sanderson (Tracy) (Deep River ON), Bradley Norman Sanderson (Val) (Lloydminster SK), Melonie Ann Boser (Dean) (North Vancouver BC) and Deugan Alexander Sanderson (Carrie) (Winnipeg MB). Grandmother to Hayley Reutlinger (Landon) (Winnipeg MB), Alexis Madore (Dartmouth NS), Bryce Madore (Winnipeg MB), Leah Purdy (Moncton NB), and Joshua Purdy (Dartmouth NS).  Great grandmother to Carolyn Reutlinger (Winnipeg MB), Athena Purdy (Moncton NB) and Grayson Reutlinger (Winnipeg MB).

Darcia spent 31 years in the Canadian Armed Forces with tours in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Buenos Aires.  She retired in Ottawa as a Petty Officer 2nd Class.  She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as her beloved cat Lincoln who pre-deceased her and of course Ruby.  May our dear sister D-Raye now rest peacefully.
