MWO (Ret’d) Darrell L. Spence, MSC, CD
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Darrell, who proudly served Canada for 27 years as a Combat Engineer in the Canadian Armed Forces. Throughout his distinguished career, he exemplified dedication, professionalism, and quiet strength in service to his country. Beyond his military service, Darrell will be remembered as a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished son, and caring brother. His kindness, integrity, and unwavering love for his family touched all who knew him. Darrell is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; his beloved children, Dylan and Jillian; his loving parents, Doug and Faye Spence of Springhill, Nova Scotia; his brother, Don (Kim) Spence; his sister, Angela (Paul) Morris; his parents-in-law, Tom and Coreen Dawson of Tidnish, Nova Scotia; as well as several cherished nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins. He leaves behind his club family, his military family, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. In lieu of flowers, donations in support of the Spence family may be made by e-transfer to BFMC211.treasurer@gmail.com (please include “Spence family” in the message).
