Edith Mary Lena Ouellette
At the Deep River and District Hospital on Sunday August 30, 2020. Edith Ouellette (nee: Lukus) at the age of 76 years. Beloved wife of the late Aurel Ouellette (Frenchie). Loving mother of Edward Gauthier and his wife Glenda of Elliot Lake, Brian Gauthier, Dale Gauthier and his wife Steph all of Sarnia and Tina Gauthier of Brigden, Denise Tremblay and her husband Mario of Ottawa, Francine Whalley and her husband Chris of Mattawa, Richard Ouellette and his wife Pamela of Sturgeon Falls. Cherished grandmother of 17 grandchildren Troy, Amber, Cynthia, Kyle, Alicia, Tammy, Natasha, Dylan, Cody, Ethan, Jasmine, Jocelyn, José, Preston, Laurelle, Casey and Amy, and 4 great-grandchildren Darius, Olivia, Nolan and Andrew. Dear sister of Gilbert (Gib) Lukus (the late Donna), Eileen James and her husband Murray all of Deep River, Edmund (Eddy) Lukus and his wife Betty Shean and (the late June) of Pembroke, Pauline Craggs (the late Denis) of Cobaconk, Dianne Gratto and her husband Parker, Darlene Raditsas and her husband Johne (The Greek), Benjamin Lukus and his wife Joyce Vivian all of Kingston. Predeceased by a sister Nancy Laroche and her husband Rene Laroche, a nephew Dennis Laroche and a niece Rochelle (Shelly) Plourde. Respecting Edith’s request cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Chalk River at a later date. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River on Sunday October 18 at 11:00 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will be in St. Anthony Parish Cemetery, Chalk River. In memoriam donations to the Breast Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
