MIZZAN, ELEANOR EDITH

Eleanor Mizzan (nee Shichowy) at the age of 92 passed peacefully at Supples Landing Retirement, Pembroke on Saturday December 17, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Elio Mizzan. Loving mother of Janis Bufkin (Chris) of Pleasanton, California, John (Jan Cherrin) of Deep River, Bryan (deceased), Marilou (John Wilson) of Haliburton, Brenda and Linda both of Deep River. Cherished grandmother of Lindsay, Jamie, Zachary, Bond, Holly, Caitlin and great-grandchildren Moana, Coral, Kali, Charlotte, Matias and Samson. Predeceased by sister Lena Baron (Joe), brothers Sheldon and Hank Shichowy (Mary). Eleanor will be remembered for her strong faith, service, and determination which she displayed until the very end. Many thanks to the kind, caring and supportive staff at Supples Landing. Respecting Eleanor’s wish cremation will take place. A Mass in the Presence of Ashes will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River on Wednesday December 28 at 11:00 a.m. In memoriam donations to the Deep River and District Hospital Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.
