May 23, 1955 ~ June 15, 2019 (age 64) 64 Years Old
Suddenly at her residence on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Elizabeth Godreau-Thompson at the age of 64 years. Beloved wife of Samuel Thompson of Laurentian Hills. Loving mother of Nicole Godreau of Calgary and step-mother of Lukas, Shawn and Brandon Thompson. Cherished grandmother of Allisa and Willow and step-grandmother of 5 grandchildren. Daughter of the late Ronald and Rose Godreau. Dear sister of Guildor Godreau and his wife Diane and Fernand Godreau and his wife Rita both of Chatham, Bernadette Dechene and her husband David of Kincardine, Noel Godreau and his wife Colleen of Rolphton, Norman Godreau and his wife Debbie of Ottawa, Rene Godreau and his wife Trudy of Tilbury and Gisele Godreau of Stayner. Predeceased by a sister Solange Meilleur (Glen). Also survived by a brother-in-law Harry Thompson and his wife Carol and 3 sisters-in-law Lorraine Lamure and her husband Jim, Susan Glanville and her husband Ray both of Chalk River and Liz Elliotte and her husband John of Brucefield and several nieces and nephews. Respecting Elizabeth’s wish, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Chalk River on Saturday, June 22, prayer service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a light luncheon. In memoriam donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
