At Deep River on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Elphege Couette age 83 years. Beloved husband of the late Ann Couette (nee Graham) and Geraldine Levesque by 1st Marriage. Loving father of Lorraine Schamehorn of Huntsville and Lawrence of Lindsay. Predeceased by a son Raymond and a daughter Darlene and 3 step-children Randy, Kerry and Kelly. Also survived by 2 step-children Kirk and Tracy. Cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Alexander, Réal, Joe and Lise all of Pembroke, Chris of Westmeath, Marie Claire of Montreal, Dianne of Goderich, Theresa of Petawawa, and Marie-Paul of Temiskaming. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Tuesday, March 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River on Wednesday at 11 am. Interment to follow in the Deep River Community Cemetery. In memory of Elphege, donations to the Deep River and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
