Francis George Boucher
It is with great sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing of Francis (Franny) George Boucher on Wednesday, March 30th, 2022 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Marilyn Boucher (nee Adamchick). Loved father of Melissa Leduc (Eric) and Derek Boucher. Loving Poppa to Brady and Taylor. Dear brother of Betty Anne Henson (Douglas). Son of the late Francis (Skel) Leo and Edna Boucher (nee Roesler). He will be missed and treasured by his sisters and brothers in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Deep River - a hometown boy who started his apprenticeship at AECL then moved on to the Town of Deep River as a plumber and building Inspector for Public Works, ending his career running his own business. An active member in the Deep River community, Francis’ love of sports continued from high school (track, basketball, football) on to his support of minor hockey as an active coach and president of the association.
Francis loved the game of golf and was a long time member, volunteer and club captain of the Deep River Golf Club. He finally found his hole in one in Florida. Francis was an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing and hunting but more importantly the camaraderie, time and laughs he shared with his close friends.
Francis will be sadly missed by his family, friends and neighbours.
Respecting Francis’s request cremation has taken place. A Mass in the presence of Ashes will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River on Friday. April 8 at 11:00 am. Followed by the interment of cremated remains in the Deep River Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Deep River and District Hospital Foundation are welcome. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
