Born 26 August 1944 in Birmingham England died 23 December 2025 in Deep River Canada
Our dear Geraldine has left us, peacefully at the Deep River Hospital with family around her after a prolonged decline due to Alzheimer’s dementia. What shall we do without her? She was wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter; dancer, histologist, gardener, seamstress, knitter, baker, book club member, ski patroller, Whistle Stop volunteer and bridge player.
We will remember her fondly: husband Richard; son Matthew his wife Anne-Elise and their sons Jérémie and Samuel; daughter Megan her husband Wesley and their daughter Chlöe; brothers Paul, Christopher, Stephen and sister Linda; and many other relatives and friends.
Respecting her wishes Geraldine will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
We particularly want to thank the personal support workers of the At Home program run from the North Renfrew Long Term Care who provided such dedicated, patient and good humoured care in the last years of Geraldine’s life allowing her to remain in her home for as long as possible; also all the staff of the Deep River and District Hospital whose exemplary care and attention made her final few weeks as comfortable as possible. Thus, in lieu of flowers or other tributes we would encourage donations in Geraldine’s name to either of the two organizations mentioned above.
