Glenda Mae Delaney

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother, Glenda Delaney (nee Brown), age 91. She left us at the Deep River and District Health surrounded by family and love.

Glenda was the beloved wife of Roderic Delaney, loving mother of Marsha Delaney (Darryl Donald) of Fitzroy Harbour and Lee Ann Starzynski (Henry) of Ottawa and cherished grandmother of Nathan and Hannah Starzynski (Caleb Frisby). She was predeceased by her parents William Henry (Harry) and Bernice Brown (nee Cole), half-sister Vera Weir and half-brother Harvey Brown.

Mom lived her life fully and will be remembered by family and friends for her deep wisdom, warm and open hospitality, delightful laugh, wonderful cooking, painting, local acting roles, aquafit and chair yoga enthusiasm, dedication to the Deep River Community Church and, as some friends have said, just being a dear and a friend to all.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Deep River Community Church on Thursday, December 4 at 11:00 am. 

In memory of Glenda donations to the Deep River Community Church, Deep River and District Health Foundation or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
