Gordon Alexander Stewart

Holy Mackey Creek, it is with great sadness that the family of Gordon Alexander Stewart aka, Gordie or Big G, announce his passing on December 1st, at the age of 80, with his family by his side, at the Deep River and District Hospital. 

Beloved husband of Linda Stewart (nee) Delahunt) for 58 years. Loving father of Tammy-Lea Stewart of Stonecliffe, Timothy Stewart of Montreal, and the late Terry Stewart. Cherished Grandfather of Timothy (Beth), Alexander, Anthony, Danielle, Collin and Terri; Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Especially missed by his beloved dog, Alfie. Predeceased by his sisters Barbara Ledgerwood and Goldie Sullivan. 

This White Lake boy was an avid sports fan who loved his Leafs and cards. He will be remembered for his smile and friendly nature. Quick to help anyone and loved by so many. 

Thank you to the Palliative team at Deep River and District Hospital for the great care they provided at this difficult time. 

Respecting Gordon's wishes cremation will take place, with a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 20 from 1-4 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Chalk River. In memory of Gordon donations to the Chalk River Legion Branch 562 would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
