Grace Elaine Stewart 

Grace Elaine Stewart (nee Marshall) passed away peacefully at North Renfrew Long Term Care at the regal age of 101, surrounded by family and friends. 

Grace is predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband of 58 years Don Stewart and her four siblings. Grace is survived by her two children Elaine Melvin (Tom) of Arnprior, David Stewart (Kelly) of Oakville, six grandchildren Victoria (Dan Festarini), Rachel, Wendy, Ross, Max, and Sam and great-grandson Nico.

Grace was born in 1922 in Huntington, Quebec and moved to Deep River in the 1945 to work at AECL. Grace met her husband Don at the Staff Hotel, and they were married in 1954. Grace was a loving mother, doting grandmother, wonderful neighbour, and a true lady who always had a positive and optimistic outlook to share with the world. She was instrumental in the establishment of many of Deep River cherished institutions, including the yacht club, golf club, curling club, and community church. 

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at North Renfrew Long Term Care. Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 3 from 2-4 pm at the Deep River Yacht Club. In lieu of flowers donations to North Renfrew Long Term Care would be appreciated.
