Passed away surrounded by loving family, on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of the late Marion van der Horn (nee: Dufoe). Loving father of Tiemen van der Horn and his late wife Wendy, Henry van der Horn and his wife Valerie,  both of Ottawa and Karen Rabishaw and her husband Kurt of Deep River. The loss is felt by his daughter Amanda Murray and her daughters Audrey and Sarah Murray and his great grandchild. Cherished grandfather of Jonathan and Tieman van der Horn and Kyle, Justin and Ryan Rabishaw. Dear brother of Andrew van der Horn and his wife Helen of Ottawa.  Dear brother of Theo van der Horn and his wife Rosemary of Almonte. Predeceased by 3 brothers Jan, Auke and Klaus van der Horn and 3 sisters Else Philips, Tina Staal and Grosina van der Horn. Respecting Hendrik’s (Hank) request of cremation has taken place. Friends may visit the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Saturday, May 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. People are invited to share their memories and reflections on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home.  Any donations made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Deep River and District Hospital would be gratefully appreciated.
