Henry John Duiker

It is with deep sadness that the family of Henry John Duiker announce his passing on June 8th, 2025, in Deep River, ON at the age of 64.

Beloved husband of Kim Duiker (nee DeVries), father of Steven, Mitchell (Anne-Marie), Brett (Chelsea). Beloved Opa to Presley, Clarke, Warren, Bennett and Vincent. (Stephanie Ladouceur).

Cherished son of the late Rinke and Hennie Duiker, and late stepfather John VanArragon.

Pre-deceased by sister Magda and survived by siblings Rinke, Len, John, Maryke, George, Joyce, Paul, Linda, Suzanne, Fred and their families.

Survived by Ray and Dietz DeVries, brother-in-law Mark, sister-in-law Michelle and their families. 

Henry built a well-respected career as a contractor, working on countless projects that helped shape the community he loved. A calm and steady presence, Henry was known for his kind heart, quiet strength and well-timed dad jokes that brought laughter and light to those around him. He was a devoted family man who treasured time spent with his loved ones.

Visitation will be held at Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on June 21st from 1-4pm. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the Deep River and District Hospital staff for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deep River and District Hospital.
