James (Jim) Arthur Bond

On Thursday January 8, 2026, Jim Bond of Deep River passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of Barbara Bond (nee Harding) for over 50 years. Loving father of Sarah (Denis), Carrie (Trevor), Elizabeth (Chris), and Matthew (Meghan), all of Deep River. Cherished Papa to Nathan, Abby, Kiera, Millie, Laney, Ethan, and Maren. Beloved son of the late William Arthur and Eva Bond. Loving brother of the late David Bond and the late Gail Taylor. Beloved cousin of Gordon, Evelyn (Darrell), and Marilyn (Lynn). Cherished son-in-law of Margaret and the late Walter Harding.

Grand in stature and blessed with a gentle, kind soul, Jim will be dearly missed by family and friends. 

“How lucky were we to have had someone so special that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

Respecting Jim’s request, cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In memory of Jim, donations to the Deep River and District Health Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
