It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean (Jeannie) Allan at North Renfrew Long Term Care on Sunday, October 13 at the age of 83. Jean was born in June 1941 to parents Lloyd and Florence (Kean) McKay (predeceased). Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband Garry Allan. She was sister to Harvey McKay and his wife Karen of Bobcaygeon ON, and sister-in-law to Jeanette McKay of Pembroke, ON. Jean was predeceased by her brothers Ivan McKay (Petawawa ON) and brother Donald McKay and sister-in-law Shirley McKay (Burlington ON). Jean will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the exceptional staff of NRLTC for their outstanding care, compassion and support. We would also like to thank her friends Louise Wachsmann and John Goodale for their devotion and love in these last few months.
As per Jean’s request there will be no visitation. A reception to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, November 2 from 2-4:30 pm at the Bears Den, Deep River.
In lieu of flowers donations to North Renfrew Long Term Care or a charity of your choice would be greatly acknowledged by Jean’s family.
