Joel Rene Joseph Hetu

At Deep River on Monday December 15, 2025, Joel Hetu passed away suddenly at the age of 44 years. Beloved son of Diane Hetu , spouse Darryl Smith of Deep River, and Fernand Hetu and his wife Devina of Nova Scotia. Dear brother of Danielle Hetu and Marc Hetu and adored uncle of Rylie Field. Joel will be remembered by his close friends T.J. & Heather, Nate, Shawn and Clayton. He was known as Shadow to his online family. Thank you to his other family in his building, he loved and appreciated each of you.
Respecting Joel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date. In memory of Joel, donations to the Deep River Food Bank would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
