At the Deep River and District Hospital on Sunday, August 28, 2022. Kathleen Amunds (nee Maier) at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of Laverne (Vern) Amunds of Deep River. Dear mother of Arthur and Kenneth Kesler both of Rockford, Alberta. Loving sister of Dennis Maier and his wife Carol of Sherwood Park, Alberta and Jack Maier and his wife Cora of Ladysmith, B.C. Predeceased by her sister Anne Haney and her late husband Howard. Also survived by a special niece Susan Mitchell and her husband Lorne of Brooks, Alberta and a god daughter Emily Johnston and her husband Michael of Kincardine, and several nieces and nephews. Respecting Kathleen’s request cremation will take place. There will be no visitation or service. In memoriam donations to the Deep River and District Community Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River. At this time a heartfelt thank you would like to be expressed to Bruce Broome and also the staff of the Deep River and District Hospital.
