Laura A. Stewart (Devlin) Sneddon

Laura A. Stewart (Devlin) Sneddon passed away March 9th, 2021 surrounded by her family at Marianhill, Pembroke in her 97th year. Laura was born in Sutton Bay, ON the daughter of the late Lily McLean and the late Roy Stewart. She was the cherished and beloved wife of Stewart C. Devlin (1922-1985) and by second marriage James H. Sneddon (1924-2013). Loving mother and best friend to Deborah Devlin Adams (Paul Adams). Devoted grandmother to Brianna Adams Cogliati (Chris) of Kanata and Brittney Adams (Conan Vivian) of Barrie. Beloved step mother to Laura Sneddon Little (Andy) North Bay and grandmother to MaryRose and Heather Little. Loving great-grandmother to Ariella “Ella” Rae Cogliati, Adam Vivian and his sister Mariah Vivian, due in April. Laura will be missed by the many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, the United States, England, etc. The last surviving member of a family of nine, Laura was predeceased by brothers: Charles, Peter, Douglas, Bill and Jim and sisters, Ellen Armstrong, Dorothy Anderson (Bob) and Lillian Holt (Ray). At Laura’s request cremation has taken place and interment will be at the United Cemeteries, Carleton Place, ON. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Laura’s great niece, Lana, summed up Laura’s life “She brought good to those who may not have known what it was to be loved and protected”.
