Leslie Wayne Collicott

Leslie Wayne Collicott of Deep River passed peacefully at home on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 at the age of 83 years old.  His life work was as a stationary engineer. 

He was the beloved husband of Marion Stewart. Loving Father of Natalie Collicott of Petawawa and Krista Collicott of Pembroke, stepfather to Dale Stewart of Point Alexander and Linda (Jamie) Stewart of Petitcodiac, NB and step-son-in-law Robin Remus. Cherished Grampie of Nicholas (Jewel) Collicott, Riley (Sara) and Garrett (Emily) Lafeniere, step-grampie to Stacey (Chad) Remus-Vines, Matthew (Lisa), Mitchell (Kayla), and Blake Remus, Jessica (Julian) and Jamie (Amber) Trenhaile. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his mother and father Manus and Edna Collicott, by brothers Gill, Herb, Manus and Winston Collicott, sisters Alta Rogerson and Elda Johnson and a step-daughter Joyce Remus. 

He will be missed by many friends and members of the community. Leslie loved to get together with his friends at the lawn bowling club, and the Legion, going for good food at the Friday night dinner club and every immediate family member can say they have an original piece made by Leslie at the wood hobby shop. Leslie could often be seen riding around Deep River on his red tricycle. 

Respecting Leslie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Valley Funeral Home in Deep River on November 3rd between 1-3pm. In memory of Leslie, donations may be made to the Deep River Hospital, or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 436, Deep River would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
