Mary 'Joanne' Catherine O'Gorman

Peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Deep River and District Health Hospital on Monday, September 23, 2024. Joanne O’Gorman (nee Benney) at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of John ‘Jack’ O’Gorman of Deep River. Loving mother of Melissa McDougall and her husband Lyle of McDonald Corners, John O’Gorman and his wife Amanda of Napanee and Amy O’Gorman and her husband Tristan Dougherty of Stittsville and predeceased by an infant son Ronald O’Gorman. Cherished grandmother of Aidan McDougall, Sarah O’Gorman Wyatt and Tessa Dougherty. Dear sister of Patricia Rowan and her husband Bill of Lake Echo, Nova Scotia and predeceased by a sister Rhonda Holford. Also survived by a brother-in-law Dave Holford and missed by her in-laws Melba O’Gorman (the late Ken) of Deep River, Ronnie and Monica O’Gorman of Camrose, Alberta and Colleen Boucher (the late Remi) of Burlington. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Friday, October 4 from 10 until 10: 50 am. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 am. Interment of cremated remains will be in the Deep River Community Cemetery. In memory of Joanne, donations to the Deep River and District Health Hospital-closer to home campaign would be greatly appreciated.
