Maurice Baptiste Nadeau

At the Deep River and District Health, on Saturday December 13, 2025, Maurice Nadeau of Deep River passed away at the age of 71 years. Loving father of Kevin Nadeau (Lauren Scott) and dear stepfather of Jocelyn Beaupre, Amanda Gardiner and Sara Goodreau (nee Gardiner). Maurice is also survived by 3 brothers Ron, Dave and Bill, and many nieces and nephews.

Maurice grew up in Rolphton, Ontario but has since lived in Deep River. He was known to help a lot of seniors by getting them to appointments, driving them to Ottawa, and taking them to the food bank or out shopping. He would also give the kids in his building popsicles in the summer.

He was a very kind man who would constantly joke around and try to make you laugh. He will be missed by many for his kind soul and sense of humor.

Respecting Maurice’s wishes, cremation will take place. Interment of cremated remains will be in St. Anne’s Parish Cemetery, Rapides des Joachims, Quebec in the spring. In memory of Maurice, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
