Michael Joseph Hunt

At Deep River and District Health on Friday, November 1, 2024. Michael Joseph Hunt age 95 years. Beloved husband of the late Virginia Hunt (nee Adams). Loving father of Carolyn Hunt-Murphy (Colin) of Deep River, James Hunt (Peggy) of Dowling, Mary Leclair (the late Michael), David Hunt, and Lisa Richards (Dennis Hudon), all of Deep River , Sean Hunt (Theresa) of Ottawa and the late Ann Plourde (the late Fred).

Cherished grandfather of Clarke Plourde (Kelly), late Frank Plourde, Tracy Lapping (Brian Kroes), Shannon Lapping ( Kelly), Angie Elphick (Ron), Kim Hunt, Christopher Leclair (Rosie Rowe), Melinda Handke (Kevin), Amanda Chretien (Jamie), Sylvester and Jade Hunt, Aidan and Jessica McLean and numerous great-grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Alice ‘Alley’ Leeson (Richard) and Patrick ‘Basil’ Hunt both of Ottawa and Terry (Sandra) Hunt of Australia. Predeceased by siblings Marie Armour (Thomas), Sylvester (Edith), Francis (Eileen), Carmel Klatt (Ernie), Cornelius (Bea), Mary ‘Monica’ Groulx (Aime), Helen ‘Ella’ Poulin (Louis), Thomas.

Respecting Michael’s wishes cremation will take place. A mass in the presence of ashes will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River on Saturday, November 23 at 11:00 am. Interment of cremated remains will be in the Deep River Community Cemetery. 

In memory of Michael, donations to the Deep River and District Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
