Neil Vernon Beamer

It is with profound sadness that the family of Neil Beamer, affectionately known as “The Neilster” announce his passing on August 31st, 2026 at the Deep River and District Hospital. He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years Valerie, his beloved children Holly (Sheldon), Natalie (Bryan) of Deep River and cherished grandchildren Katelyn (Kody) and Olivia (Arnold). Also survived by his brother Lorne of Welland, sister-in-law Kathy (Mike) and niece and newphews Ashley, Teddy and David (Dava) of Sarnia.

For 33 years, Neil dedicated himself to his career as a Chemical Engineer at A.E.C.L. His attention to detail and quiet dedication were reflected in everything he did including his involvement with the Active Drain Project. Some of his work is still being referenced today.

To his family, however, his greatest accomplishment was simply being a loving husband and a

supporting father and papa. He was selfless and devoted, always putting the needs of those he loved before his own. He was a steady presence, someone his family could always count on for guidance, patience, kindness, and unconditional love.

He had a remarkable talent for fixing just about anything around the house. There was very little he couldn't figure out, including any math question, and he took great pride in using his skills to help the people he loved. He was the kind of man who didn't need recognition for what he did – he simply did it because it needed to be done.

He had a special love for summer, boating on the river, tending to his koi fish pond, and enjoying the companionship of his beloved dog. He cherished the simple pleasures of warm summer days and time spent with family and friends.

May you rest well now without worry, pain, or winter weather to endure. Thank you for your 81 years of love, the lessons you taught us and the memories you created along the way. You were the best dad and will be missed everyday.
