Norma Lilly Yeatman 1927- 2025
With deep sadness we announce that Norma Lilly Yeatman (nee Kihl of Ottawa) passed away peacefully in her 98th year at Caressant Care LTC, Cobden on Saturday June 7, 2025 at 7:02 am. Norma, beloved wife of the late Christopher W. Yeatman (1927-2013). She is predeceased by her son, Edward (Ted)Yeatman (1955-1958) and younger brothers, Eric and Rolf Kihl. Loving mother of Christopher Yeatman (spouse Andrea Kuo) of Brooklyn, NY, Mignon de Leeuw (spouse Philip de Leeuw) of Surrey, BC, Dorothea (Thea) Yeatman (spouse Neil Wilson) of Gatineau, Que., and Sarah Bloom (spouse Stephan Bloom) of Kamloops, BC. Norma cherished her grandchildren: Elise, Jacqueline, Kira, Erica and Alison and great grandchildren: Nova, Louie, Lucy and Kase. Norma’s kindness, grace, strength and resilience leave an indelible, loving impression within our hearts. Her work as a professional secretary contributed to AECL, Forestry publications and community organizations etc. Norma’s artistic sensibility enriched and supported family and community. The Yeatman family is profoundly moved by the dedication and care that Norma received at Caressant LTC, Cobden. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Hexagon Restaurant at the Deep River Shoreline Sports Club on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 5 to 8pm. In memory of Norma, donations to the Deep River Hospital Foundation, the Four Seasons Conservancy or the charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated. Interment arrangements are entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River, Ontario.
