Raymond Joseph Ernest Brisebois
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond Joseph Ernest Brisebois, with his family at his side, at the Four Seasons Long Term Care Home in Deep River on February 23, 2022.
At his request, no service will be held.
Mr. Brisebois was born in Cache Bay, Ontario on November 14, 1940 and moved with his family to Deep River in 1945.
He is predeceased by his wife, Kaye Frances (née Dessert) and is survived by his children Raymond, Jeffrey (Debbie), Kim Frances (Robert), Nancy Lee (William) and Rachel (Daniel), and his grandchildren Manda Lee, Lucas, Carson, Jeffrey Jr., Joshua, Nicholas and Elizabeth.
He was a travelling journeyman electrician who worked large industrial projects for many years throughout Ontario, Alberta and Michigan and finished his career as a supervisor with Ontario Hydro's Lines and Stations Division in the early 90's.
A proud, long-time resident of the Village of Chalk River, he served as a municipal councillor in the 90's and was in his 50th-year as an associate member of the local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, serving for many years as its Poppy Chairman.
An avid fisherman he was always in his element on his beloved Ottawa River and also enjoyed all the activities of maple syrup production in his old sugar bush on the Wylie Bronson Road. A life-long Montreal Canadiens fan, he wore the colours faithfully to the very end.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion.
