Stephen James Carriere

With deep sadness, Stephen Carriere passed away on the morning of Monday September 21, 2026 at Deep River & District Health at the age of 60 years. 

Beloved husband, and best friend of Nancy Carriere (nee Moore) of 8 years. Son of Verna Carriere (nee Johnston) of Deep River and the late James Carriere. Son in law of Ken and June Moore of Smiths Falls. Brother of Andy, Jeff, Melissa and late Michelle. Brother- in law of Judy and Bill Croxall of Athens.

Steve worked 32 years at OPG before retiring. He loved to play hockey, football and enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spending time at the cabin. Steve was always there for anyone in need, he would give you the shirt off his back to help. He was a kind, caring, gentle, loving person. Steve will be missed terribly by his close friends and family.

Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Friday, September 25 from 2-4 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 12 noon in the chapel of Valley Funeral Home, Deep River. Interment at Wolford Cemetery on Tuesday, September 29 at 1:00 pm.
