Stephen McGuire

Stephen McGuire passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at his residence in Trenton, Ontario following a long illness. He was 53 years old at the time of his passing. Steve is survived by his mother Lorraine, his son Ewan, and his brother, David. Steve served his country with great pride for more than 35 years as a dedicated member of the Canadian Armed Forces. His career included service in Afghanistan and Germany as well as time as a bagpiper with the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Canadian Regiment. Respecting Steve’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date at the Forest View Cemetery in Chalk River. The family requests that any donations in Stephen’s memory be made to Wounded Warriors Canada with a note that the donation should be directed to the Paws Fur Thought PTSD Service Dog Program. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
