Teresa Lance

Passed away peacefully at the North Renfrew Long Term Care Centre   with family at her side on Friday, July 25, 2025. Teresa Lance (nee Demell) of Deep River. Beloved wife of the late Irving Lance. Loving mother of Bruce (Vandaline) and Rodney (Cathy) both of Chalk River, Linda Tooley (Brent) of Espanola, Glenn (Janet) of Corbeil, Elsie Stewart (Steve) of Deep River, Wade (Doris) of Chalk River and Lisa McAuley (Paul) of Sudbury. Predeceased by a son Justin, great-granddaughter Justine and 15 siblings. Cherished grandmother of Clint and Kyla Tooley, Michael and Tammy Lance, Cara Delano, Megan Bischoff, Erin Lee, Sheldon, Tyler, Bradley, Darwin and Kristen Lance, Lesley and Colin Stewart, Renée Foley, Heidi Laaper and Hailey McAuley, 30 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Teresa was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.  For many years, as a sideline, she was a fixture at the local Sears counter serving our community. Teresa's fame was in her home. With such a large extended family there were meals to make, delicious baking to share and relationships to counsel. She could be counted upon for straight talk and a helping hand whenever needed. She had a way of teaching you, whether it be crafting, baking, gardening, pickling, making maple syrup or being at camp. Teresa will be greatly missed but we are sure she will still  join us for our daily "Break Time".

Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Wednesday, July 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River on Thursday, July 31 at 11:00 am. Interment St. Anne's Parish Cemetery, Rapides des Joachims, Quebec. In memory of Teresa, donations to the North Renfrew Long Term Care Centre, Deep River would be greatly appreciated.
