May 7, 1928 – October 16, 2019
Passed away peacefully at Marianhill Residence, Pembroke, on October 16, 2019 at the age of 91. Retired from AECL 1986. Member of Knights of Columbus, Deep River. Beloved husband of Zita Tait for 65 years, son of the late Patrick Valiquette and Annie Donohue. Loving father of Patricia Valliquette, Diane Cartier, Brian, Catherine Godsmark (Fred), & Michael. Predceased by son Robert 2008. Cherished grandfather of Paul Cartier, George & Rachel Godsmark. Survived by a sister Kathleen Scrivens (late Gordie) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Harry (Alexis), James (Lois), John (Violet), Patrick (Shirley), sisters, Carmel Valiquette, Frances (Russ) McLinton. As per Wayne’s request there is no visitation and cremation has taken place. A Mass in the Presence of Ashes will be held on Saturday October 26, 2019 at 11 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River, ON. Interment in the Deep River Community Cemetery. A special thanks to Father Ken O’Brien, staff at the Deep River and District Hospital and Marianhill for their loving care. In lieu of flowers donations to the Deep River and District Hospital would be gratefully appreciated.
