At Pembroke Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Gerry Spooner age 81 years. Son of the late Joseph and Toots Spooner. Beloved husband of Joan Spooner (nee: Wert) of Chalk River. Loving father of Christopher Spooner and his late wife Lynne of Greely, Jennifer Potvin and her husband Ken of Timmins and Jeff Spooner of Chalk River. Dear brother of Sister Sheila Anne Spooner of North Bay (Sisters of St. Joseph, SSM).Also survived by 2 grandaughters and 2 great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law Garry Wert and his wife Carol of Ingleside and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Tusday from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Chalk River on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Followed by Cremation. Interment in Massey Roman Catholic Cemetery (at a later date). In memoriam donations to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation or charity of choice would be gratefully appreciated.
