William (Bill) McCrea Obituary

McCrea, William (Bill) Lawrence, in Deep River Hospital on September 27th.  After graduating from UNB, Bill headed for employment in Brockville, first at DuPont and then ParkDavis.  In 1963 he joined AECL and moved his young family to Deep River.  His search for the good life was complete.  He enjoyed his work and fellow employees at AECL and became active in Minor Hockey and baseball.  He loved working with the young kids and didn’t mind driving the many miles each season so the kids could enjoy the challenge of other leagues. Bill always remained a country boy enjoying hunting, fishing and just being in the woods.  Bill’s gardens were always admired by those who walked along Thomas Street reflecting his tireless devotion to their bounty.
Bill leaves behind his beloved wife, Mona, daughter Wendy Muckle (Benoit Davis), son Wayne,  grandsons Jamie (Stephanie) Muckle, David Muckle, great-grandson Grayson Muckle and soon to-be great-granddaughter, sisters-in-law Bonnie McCrea, Wilma (Eb) Gosse, Donna Belliveau, Linda (Donald) James, Rosalie (David) Andrew, Heather (Laurie) Whitney, brothers-in-law Patrick Whitney (Camie Tang-Chang) Robert Whitney (Julie Singleton) and Willis McAllister.  He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Bill is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Ruth McCrea, his brother Graydon, Brothers-in-law Laurie Whitney and Donald James and his sister-in-law, Fay McAllister
Honoring Bill’s wishes there will be no funeral.  Cremation has taken place.  Interment will be held in New Brunswick at a later date. In memoriam donations to the North Renfrew Family Services or the Deep River Food Bank would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River.
