Winston Churchill Stewart born May 16, 1941
 
“Wink” left this world to join our Lord on February  25, 2024 at the age of 82 years. Leaving behind his beloved wife Helen Stewart (nee Cameron) of 60 years and children Pamela Stewart of Deep River and Scott Stewart and his wife Jodi of Denham Springs, Louisiana. Wink was a cherished grandfather of Katrina Abram and her husband Paul, Sarah Ezerins, Janohah and her husband Kenny, Jael Trosclair and her husband Elijah, Irish Stewart, and Dagny Stewart, and Great-grandfather to Vesper and Nicolette Tosclair and Madeleine Abram. Dear brother of Ellen McQuestion of Deep River. Predeceased by 11 brothers Gordon (Bud), Mellville, Iverson, James, Robert, Daniel, John, Ronald, William, Delbert and Montgomery (Monty) and 2 sisters Jean Berry and Mona Kirkwood.

Wink had been an authorized chartered accountant since 1968 and was elected as a Life Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountancy on September 23rd 2011.

Throughout his life, Wink was a Queen Scout, an Air Cadet, a softball coach, and a member of Pembroke Kinsmen Club. He played in the Royal Collegiate Band, and he loved the Pembroke Lumber Kings.

He had a passion for square dancing and had a total of 75 calls that he performed. He taught square dancing in both Point Alexander at the Township Hall and in Cobden.

Wink was funny and kind and warm. He loved to entertain and he had a way of making people feel they had a true friend.

He was always the life of the party, and will be forever in our hearts.

Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Tuesday, February 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Deep River Community Church on  Wednesday, February 28 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Deep River Community Cemetery. In memory of Winston, donations to the North Renfrew Long Term Care Centre, Deep River, the Dementia Society of Renfrew County or the Deep River Community Church would be greatly appreciated.
