Floyd Charles Miller
Retired: Employee Atomic Energy of Canada

At the Ottawa Hospital-Civic Campus on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Floyd Miller age 86 years. Son of the late Alexander and Grace Miller (nee: Shaw). Beloved husband of Geraldine Miller (nee: Clarke) of Deep River. Loving father of Stephen Miller and his wife Rachel Williams of Port Elgin and Brady and David Miller both of Deep River. Cherished grandfather of Fiona, Jamie, Charlotte, Tristan, Noah and Payton. Dear brother of Neeta Moore and her husband Bill of Cobden. Predeceased by a brother Orval Miller and three sisters Eileen McBride (the late Clarence), Hazel Purcell (the late Jack) and Olive Hill. Also survived by a sister-in-law Shirley Miller of Deep River and a brother-in-law Mansel Hill of Cobden. Respecting Floyd’s request cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Sunday, December 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of thanksgiving for a life well lived will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River on Monday December 17 at 11:00 am. Interment of cremated remains will be in the Deep River Community Cemetery . In memoriam donations to the Deep River and District Hospital Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.

Sorry to hear about the death of your husband, dad, Grandpa and brother-in-law. My fondest memory of Floyd was the day I saw him out with his grandchildren at the dairy. So sorry to hear the news of Mr. Miller's (Floyd) passing. Of course when I think of Mr. Miller I think of how often we saw him at the Deep River Arena. He was a big part of the hockey community when we were growing up. He will be missed as a husband, father and integral member of the Deep River community. He has been a friend and a team mate in Hockey ,Baseball ,
Softball for over 60 years .We also roomed at the AECL dorms
