Margaret Stiell

We bid farewell to our beloved mother and grandmother who left us on September 11 2019 in her 98th year. Predeceased by husband Will (1999) and survived by Jennifer and Ian (Kathy), grandsons Andrew (Laura) and Mike (Joasia), and great-grandson Will. Originally from Kelowna BC, the family moved to Deep River in 1961, and Margaret embraced a multitude of activities and forged many lifelong friendships. An accomplished artist, Margaret studied with the late Rena Purdy, and was pleased to see her lifetime work displayed by the Deep River Library Arts Committee. We are grateful for the compassionate care from the many staff members at North Renfrew Long Term Care and from Dr. Terry McVey. A memorial service will be held at St Barnabas Anglican Church, Deep River at 11:00am on Saturday September 21st, followed by a reception. In memoriam donations to the North Renfrew Long Term Care or the Deep River Library Arts Committee would be gratefully appreciated.

Ian, Jennifer and family.
So sorry for your loss. My memories of Margaret go back to playing bridge at the forestry.
I visited her when she was in the long term and I was always amazed at her wonderful memory right to the end. I enjoyed the visits and I know that she did also. She loved her visits to the house on the river. She would mention how lovingly Jennifer looked after the flowers. I will miss our chats. Lucille Watson
